- STEP 061 > Lower your front piece on top of your side's black position guide.
- STEP 062 > Place it nice and straight on the inside.
- STEP 063 > Make sure your ends line up and you don't have one poking more than the other.
- STEP 064 > Make sure you are FLUSH all along the back side connection. You don't want to feel a bump with your finger when you pass it from the body to the side edge. This would create a bump in your decal skin.
- STEP 065 > Also try and keep a 90 degree angle. This will help when connecting your 2nd side piece later on.
- STEP 066 > When you are happy, just keep a light pressure for a few seconds until the hot glue cools down.
- STEP 067 > Now grab one of the pieces that does NOT have a cut angle. This is your back body piece.
- STEP 068 > Apply a line of hot glue like you did on the angle body.
- STEP 069 > Lower it on top of your position placement guide.
- STEP 070 > Make sure the ends are centre and even (left image) and your pieces are close to 90 degrees (right image).
- STEP 071 > The most important is making sure that connecting corner is FLUSH all the way down.
- STEP 072 > Now we can apply the other side piece. Do a dry test if you are unsure of where it fits.
- STEP 073 > Place 2 lines of hot glue on each of the body sides (left image) Align your side piece making connection with your outside edges first (centre image) and make sure your ends line up and don't poke out more on one side than the other (right image).
- STEP 074 > Make sure both sides are flush with their respected edges.
- STEP 075 > When you are happy, you can keep a little pressure for a few seconds to let the hot glue cool off a little.
- STEP 076 > All body pieces are now ready for the decal skins.
- STEP 077 > Grab your decals. You can download them for FREE here ... https://dioramaworkshop.com/tutorials-decals-hoth-echo-base-rebel-console-c-2021/
- STEP 078 > Now in order to make it easier to cut precisely around the corners, I want to separate the pieces from each other using rough cuts with my X-acto knife. Just follow roughly the red line above.
- STEP 079 > You can use scissors for this step if you prefer. Just follow roughly the red line seen above.
- STEP 080 > You will have a pice that looks something like this.
