- STEP 181 > Now we will apply the main bodies.
- STEP 182 > You will notice each piece has a 90 degree angle at the bottom. that is the rear of the console. (left image) Which means the decal will be put on the opposite side (right image).
- STEP 183 > Start with gluestick on the body front (left image) Peel your decal (right image).
- STEP 184 > As with the rear boxes, we are lowering in the centre of the decal (similar to the yellow zones of past). Lower the foamcore onto the right side first until it ligns up pretty well with your folds. Then slowly lower the top, thiiner side onto the decal.
- STEP 185 > Check that all 4 corners line up like with your other rear decals.
- STEP 186 > When you are happy, flip around and press in the centre. then start moving pressure as before. Centre left, centre right, centre left top, centre right top etc. Until the entire front is nice and flat with no air bubbles.
- STEP 187 > Next we want to wrap, fold over the TOP. start pulling and folding over the first top edge (left image) ALWAYS CENTRE FIRST !!! Then bend the side flaps over the edges (centre image). last but not least, fold over the back of the top decal over the rear edge. Centre out. Centre left centre right...
- STEP 188 > For the bottom, there is a hole, so we don't want to press so hard we will create a rip in the middle.
- STEP 189 > So start by pulling and folding the bottom front over the edge. Centre always. Make it touch the back foamcore ledge. Press with your finger. Centre ledge only (left image) Then move centre left and press the left ridge and then centre right and press the right ridge (centre image). Then secure it all by folding over the back the last fold over the back of the bottom. (right image).
- STEP 190 > Fold over the bottom side flaps.
- STEP 191 > Now for the first side. Doesn't matter which one really. As long as you start pulling and folding in the centre towards the rear.
- STEP 192 > Then start moving your way to the top and bottom always returning to the centre first (left image) Then start folding over the back of the side decal. Fold over the corner edges (right image).
- STEP 193 > Making your way to the rear, fold over the corners and press down the back side. Making sure everything is flat for the rear cover decal later on.
- STEP 194 > Repeat the same steps for the opposite side.
- STEP 195 > And finish by pressing down along the back edges.
- STEP 196 > Now to identify which decal you need to use for your rear cover, look at your front grids (red circles) There is one on the front bottom and a smaller one at the top rear decal. Examine your front decal and then select the rear that has the ventilation grid on it's opposite side (green arrows)
- STEP 197 > Start with gluestick on the back of your body (left image). When putting glue near and on the decal, always go from outside inwards. the direction the decal was folded. If you rub the gluestick outwards, you risk pulling the decal with your motion and tearing it. Peel your decal (right image).
- STEP 198 > Align your bottom corners first. try and keep the top part of the decal off the surface of the foamcore at this point. When you are happy with the alignment, you can start to lower and check to see the other 2 corners match up.
- STEP 199 > When your decal is placed where you are happy with it (should fit perfectly centred) put pressure in the centre first, upwards, then back to the centre and left back to the centre and right (red arrows).
- STEP 200 > You have one main body completed. Time for the 2nd one.
