- STEP 121 > Place your LEFT SIDE inside your white guide box shape and press the TOP of your seat against the bottom of the seat back (red arrow).
- STEP 122 > When the glue has cooled off you can apply a line of hot glue along the opposite edges of both your seat and back (red arrows).
- STEP 123 > Carefully lower your chair into BOTH white guide boxes.
- STEP 124 > The chair body is now complete.
- STEP 125 > For the feet, we want to attach the 2 "L" shapes on each side of your wide "U" shape to form a "X" base. You will then select a corner to place your straw and then the opposite corner will be where you place your toothpick.
- STEP 126 > Apply a small dot of hot glue along the wide edge of your first "L" foot shape (red arrow).
- STEP 127 > Press it against the wide "U" shape as close to the centre as possible (red arrow). You want to have an equal distance from each outer edge (green arrows).
- STEP 128 > Your foot base should look like this.
- STEP 129 > Now grab your second tiny "L" foot shape and put a small drop of hot glue along the fatter edge like before (red arrow).
- STEP 130 > Press your "L" piece against the opposite side of your wide "U" piece (red arrow) making sure it's as FLUSH as possible with the other sides shape (green arrows).
- STEP 131 > Your chair feet should look like this now and ready for the straw and toothpick.
- STEP 132 > We want a piece of straw measuring 1.5cm as well as a 3cm toothpick.
- STEP 133 > Use your X-Acto PEN or KNIFE to cut off the straw. You can also use scissors.
- STEP 134 > Put your 1.5cm straw piece aside for now.
- STEP 135 > I discovered that my cat's nail scissors work really well for cutting toothpicks 🙂
- STEP 136 > Place your cat scissors or regular scissors along your 3cm pencil line and snip.
- STEP 137 > What IS important is that the straw (red circle) and toothpick (green dot) face each other in OPPOSITE corners.
- STEP 138 > When placing the straw, you want to make certain it is FLUSH with the BOTTOM of your chair feet (red line).
- STEP 139 > Place a SMALL hot glue DOT in one of your corners (red arrow).
- STEP 140 > Gently press your straw onto the glue. Don't wiggle it around TOO MUCH as it could MELT due to the high heat of the glue.
