DWC news star wars celebration DIYORAMA BUILDERS BOOTH 2022
Hi everyone, well today starts a NEW Star Wars Celebration convention and so strange for me having created the very FIRST Star Wars Celebration Diorama Builders Booth back in May 2002 to not be attending in person and seeing all the fun that I am missing. I think I know how George Lucas felt when he sold to Disney 😛 LOL. Now 2 decades later, the legacy continues under a NEW NAME : DIY orama Builders. .
In 2019 at the end of our Scarif adventure, I decided the stress of producing was taking it’s toll. I had never imagined in 2002 I would be going back again and again for so many years. It was a TRUE honour for a fan geek to be allowed to come play at such a huge event and introduce fans to the world of Diorama Building to display your action figures. So I announced to my core crew at the end of the show that I was retiring as producer and if any of them would want to grab my torch and keep the booth alive they would have my total blessing. Well thankfully for all of you, instead of letting the booth die, Jamie and Alissa agreed to try it and this week is their first adventure together organizing the Diorama Builders booth without any of my involvement. 🙂 Jamie has been by my side at every convention since the very beginning and Alissa joined the crew a decade ago after being a participant at C4 and C5. So you are all in good hands. The name of the booth had to be changed for technicalities and they came up with DIY orama Builders (Do It Yourself – clever) but don’t let that fool or confuse you. If you have attended any of my past convention Diorama Builders, you will feel very at home. So if you are in California at Celebration 2022 – make sure to drop by and tell them I said hello. Have a GREAT STAR WARS WEEKEND ADVENTURE. .
As for myself, don’t panic, I will be continuing to upload NEW photos and film NEW tutorials of ALL of my own Star Wars Celebration builders (2002-2019) here on my site – The OFFICIAL Star Wars Celebration Diorama Builders site – as well as my social media and YouTube channel. There is 17 years of procrastination I need to catch up with LOL. I have lots of exciting projects for you to build this summer and beyond. 🙂 Frank. .
