- STEP 241 > First is to apply the decal to the rear of the chair back. GENTLY apply gluestick to the balsa wood. Remember the chair is SO TINY it is VERY FRAGILE. The first time I did this I crushed the chair with my fingers and gluestick pressure. Gently gently 🙂
- STEP 242 > Peel your decal.
- STEP 243 > Place it with the circle at the BOTTOM of the chair back like you see here.
- STEP 244 > Use your thumbnail to press the decal into the side edges between the foamies.
- STEP 245 > The photoshop illusion gives you a cool 3D effect of the exact details seen in the movie set. If you wanted to use greeblies to create an actual 3D embossed texture you can do that as well. Just paint them to blend them all together.
- STEP 246 > Apply some more gluestick for the front of the chair. Again be GENTLE it is very fragile.
- STEP 247 > Peel your decal.
- STEP 248 > Carefully apply it in the front of your chair back piece.
- STEP 249 > There is a slight overlap at the top, enough for you to fold over the flap and create a nice top detail.
- STEP 250 > Time for the chair sides, Peel one of the decals.
- STEP 251 > Align it with the foamie and slowly lower it into position.
- STEP 252 > The decal has the same textures as seen in the actual movie and makes your mini chair look even more accurately detailed than it really is.
- STEP 253 > Peel the other side's decal.
- STEP 254 > Apply it in the same manner you did on the opposite side.
- STEP 255 > Now you can take your chair cushions and slide them into place. The black edge goes on the seat and against the back.
- STEP 256 > The back cushion lays on top of the seat cushion. Now you can leave them as is or secure them more with your hot glue.
- STEP 257 > Simply lift the seat cushion and add one drop of hot glue onto the balsa wood seat.
- STEP 258 > Lower the seat cushion into place.
- STEP 259 > Do the same for the rear. Bend forward the back seat cushion and add a drop of hot glue.
- STEP 260 > Push the back cushion into place and press GENTLY. You DON'T want to CRUSH your chair after all this effort.
- STEP 261 > Your mini chair is now complete.
- STEP 262 > Place your Console "A" and moni chair inside your Hoth hallway or Control Room. Make more using the other front decal skins. Place as many as you want. You are only limited by your imagination - and patience 😛 These chairs are a little pain in the butt to create if I do admit 🙂
