- STEP 061 > Place the ceiling with the short strips closest to the front of the room. Align the ceiling with the WALL C corner. The ceiling will be pressed against the rear WALL A and WALL B pieces.
- STEP 062 > Let the ceiling fall down onto the walls. You con't have to hot glue it in place if you want to have this as a playset. It is up to you if you want to do so. gravity plays well on it's own. Especially if you stack another optional hallway or room on top of it.
- STEP 063 > Here you can see how the ceiling strips fit into place with the look of the movie set. Pretty cool 🙂 I noticed that these Star Wars Celebration 3 decals don't seem to have the top edges of the basic hall panels that allow you to cut the strips and lower the ceiling flush against the inner walls as opposed to just sitting on the walls as you see here, leaving a gap where the white ceiling is. I will have to redesign these at some point for a DELUXE Vader Kenobi Duel 🙂
- STEP 064 > Now in the movie, there is a Large Blastdoor just in front of this hallway, it just happens you can find instructions for this in the Tutorials Star Wars or Speed Index menus. Go build that and come back here after 🙂
- STEP 065 > The cool thing about my Death Star diorama designs (well I have the set architect to thank for this 🙂 is that like Lego, they are grid measured and all fit together to allow you to merge all the builds into one MEGA Death Star diorama. Here you see the Large Blastdoors are the same width as your Vader kenobi Duel Hallway, allowing you to add and connect more halls and rooms to each side if you choose to.
- STEP 066 > You diorama is now complete. The only thing that I would change now, after looking at this 2005 design that was created for the fans coming to build at our Star Wars Celebration III Booth, is this big ugly gap in the center (red circle)
- STEP 067 > I did a quick photoshop cheat to show how it could look like if you measure and cut a center piece, and add some extra decals to hide this upper gap. Another thing I noticed, is I am unsure why I didn't do the heights to fit perfectly with the other modules. I will have to revisit this scene as a DELUXE VERSION when I rebuild and film a video making of sometime in 2019.
- STEP 068 > Place your Hasbro Star Wars action figures, and it looks darn close to the movie scene don't you think 🙂
- STEP 069 > Now you can add to this build with some extra hallways on the sides and maybe a upper level as well ?
- STEP 070 > The sky is the limit with the Death Star, with your imagination you can build add all kinds of connecting hallways and rooms to the dozens of options that are available for you to make at home, just as the fans did with us in 2005 in Indianapolis.
