- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Me and Joe Amaro discussing how we will proceed tomorrow with transferring the built houses to the final diorama display table.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Saturday 4:00 PM. We have moved some buildings to a drying table to make space for more plastering.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Here is another angle of what was drying. And you know what the funny part is? People who were just now coming in, thought this was the FINISHED diorama and started taking pictures. That was funny. You should have seen their faces when we told them the finished diorama would be 6 X bigger then this 🙂
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Some more Sculpey creations. We had a variety of items to add detailing like Stereo cables, straws and shishkabob skewers.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > More houses waiting to dry and be placed tomorrow.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Look at the details at the top of this tall tower building. Bet a few snipers hang out here hunting their Jabba contracts walking below 😛
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > More fan greeblies details. some cool use of weathering too.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Painted Super Sculpey creations added to the drying table too. Is that Jabba's cousin ?
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Look at this funny little creature someone made. Now that is pure creativity.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > This was our very first completed building at the workshop. Isn't it cute? and you know who made it? Rebelscum's very own Maureen. I knew she was a very talented painter (you should see her Obi_Wan Kenobi) but who knew she had architects blood in her 🙂
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Now this is creativity at it's best. Every city needs a hangar right? but we forgot our racing pods at home, no problem...let's just use some Super Sculpey and make our own pods. In the back you get to see a better picture of Jason Garner's Dagobah diorama display. Can you see who he used a 12" speeder box to display it? How cool is that? and the best thing....you don't have to dust your diorama - LOL.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > I love how this fan used the 2 fan greeblies he found to calculate the size of holes to make in the ceiling to allow them to be sunken in like that. So creative !!!
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > The first completed construction looked cool naked, now with paint on, it's even more impressive.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Looking at these drying together made - and still makes me today - smile and they aren't even placed in the diorama yet. I knew tomorrow was going to be magical.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > More builds waiting to dry.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Look at this cool design, a dome on one side and inverted hole on the other. How clever.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Once painted, some fans didn't stop there, they rummaged the greeblies box to find cool items that would help decorate and enhance their builds even more. Simply amazing.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Another angle showing how some doors were carved out on the sides.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > What is this surprise ? look at all the work that was put into that.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Nice...taking shape Saturday afternoon. The outside walls were attached which started giving the Cantina it's support and likeness to the film set.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Some foamcore pieces fit on top to create a ceiling over the alcoves. We decided to let the centre be open so we could see the figures inside.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Day nearing it's end, few left plastering and painting.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY TWO - MAY 04 > Lots of fans still entering to have a look and take photos of the Diorama Gallery wall.
