- It's great to share our 15 minutes of fame with other talented Diorama Makers. Here you see my Palpatine's Office on top. Center is my Naboo Hangar from Episode I. Below is the most awesome Outlander Club Diorama created by Dan Eversdyk
- Dan's Diorama was designed in 6 sections that fit together to form a HUGE Outlander Club. Now THIS is how Hasbro figures need to be displayed 🙂 NiubNiub remembers drooling on his shirt when seeing this baby in person 😛
- In it's first ever public display, fans were able to view my Naboo Hangar. With more space and 3 more ships to stack on a second story, you could do a true movie accurate version.
- Wide front view of the diorama. I designed it to fit on a shelf more than for movie accuracy. I had to leave it for the trash when I moved last year, so this is one I have to revisit in DELUXE form one day.
- The only store bought items, besides the ships and figures, was this plastic door from one of the playsets. it has a cool sliding mechanism lever.
- Battle Droids never looked better.
- A great backdrop for your Battle Droid Army.
- Anakin hiding in the ships cockpit.
- A close up of Amidala and her security force as they zap some batle droids.
- Center of the diorama.
- The right part had Amidala fighting off the Battle Droids as Ben and Qui Gon encounter Darth Maul on the right end of the scene.
- The battle droids were attached to the floor with hot glue so they would not just topple over like dominoes every 10 seconds. Their feet are too skinny to stand by themselves.
- Droidikas attack !!!
- A view from behind the heroes.
- Closer look at the start of the Jedi Duel.
- One last look at the entrance, stage left of the diorama. Oh, the ships were suspended in the front with fishing line to prevent them from touching the ground and give the floating look of the movie.
- Palpatine's Office from pisode II. I had just finished this scene a couple of weeks before the convention. I had a lot of fun making this, the room and the custom sitting figures remain of of the few times I customized figures as well as build the environment.
- As big as it is, I think it is still a little small, but I made the circle as large as I could on a 40" foamcore sheet. Someone sent me that backdrop, I think from a TRU display ?
- My most elaborate diorama at that time... The Emperor's Arrival Diorama was a huge fave with the fans. I wish I remembered the name of the collector who sold me his 100's of Stormtroopers for 2$ each because he was getting married and his wife didn't want them in the house. Maybe I should thank her 🙂
- Another awesome Visitor Diorama that I was happy to have on display was Steven "Ruf Terrain" Alan Davis's Dagobah Training Diorama.
