LOOKING BACK…

FRANK: Day 2 was really the FIRST REAL DAY as the convention floor was now open to ALL general public. The one thing I knew is that after 2 Diorama Builders – Mos Eisley 2002 and Death Star 2005 – Enough fans knew what we were doing now and some actually told us they bought their week long tickets because they knew we were returning and wanted to spend everyday building at the booth. Now THAT is the BIGGEST compliment I could ever get and one that I never even assumed would be told to me when creating the very first diorama builders booth.

This being the first FULL day I was expecting a lot of fans to come build a few trees but I didn’t expect there to have so many people drop by. We must have had more builders and their families come to the booth today than we did in the full 3 days of the last convention. Thank god we had such a HUGE space all to ourselves thanks to my biggest supporter Mary Franklyn at Lucasfilm  🙂 Fans not only built trees but had a lot of fun making bridges, platforms and Ewok gliders. Plus kids and adults also were able to book Ewok Painting classes with Pat Donlan. At the end of the day all my expectations were surpassed and I just couldn’t wait to see what the fans were gonna make tomorrow. Frank.
