video making of  YouTube EPISODE IV : DEATH STAR BASIC HALLWAY CONNECTORS

Hello everyone, So happy to bring you a NEW Tutorial Video making of … Today I present the BASIC DEATH STAR HALLWAYS optional builds : CROSS SECTION CONNECTORS.

This is part of my continuation in DELUXIFYING the build options that fans created at my 2nd booth at Star Wars Celebration III 2005. These skin textures did not exist back then simply because none of the fan dioramas included light up ceilings, due to no LED availability like you see today. Because the 2021/2022 Deluxe Basic Hallway versions allow you to build with lights inside a 3cm ceiling box, I thought the natural idea would be to take inspiration from the DK cross section books and create skin strips that can be placed along the front ledges of your ceilings and elevate your final display to a new level (vs plain foamcore exposure) .

It doesn’t seem like much at first, but when you see the result you can get it really is worth the little effort in printing and adding them to your Death Star build. I created 3 skin options for you… PLAIN (same colour as the wall panels) NEON (more a decorative design that matches the look of the hallway neon wall panels) and GIRDER BEAMS (that reproduce a sliced in half view like in the books) The choice is yours to make. Plus what is also cool of the Basic Hallways design is you can stack them both Horizontally SIDE by SIDE or Vertically STACKED one on top of each other :).
