- Step 001 >> The sheets I found at Home Depot come 6 to a pack and measure 14.5" x 48" and cost $6.99. That comes to $1 a sheet !!! Remember this Diorama was initially created for Celebration V - for your own home version, you can if you prefer make a WIDER Hallway to say... fit your display shelf. You do have 48" to play with)
- Step 002 >> Start with a 16" mark on the Top of the sheet.
- Step 003 >> And the same 16" mark on the bottom. This will be your Hallways' WIDTH.
- Step 004 >> Now cut along the 2 marks with your Utility knife. Make sure to have a NEW Blade, as this helps give you the BEST CUT. Styrofoam and Foamboard are the ENEMIES of Xacto Blades. The KILLER of the BLADES 🙂 Put the remaining BIG sheet aside for the time being.
- Step 005 >> Using the shorter or the two pieces, you need to make a 8" Mark at the Bottom of your cut piece.
- Step 006 >> And again at the top of your cut piece. Take your ruler, align the marks and slice with your X-Acto knife.
- Step 007 >> You now have TWO pieces, The Bigger Bottom piece (16" x 8") will be your FLOOR.
- Step 008 >> You can identify your floor (16" x 8") on the underside if you wish as to easily retrieve the proper piece later on.
- Step 009 >> Now grab your Top piece seen in Step 007 and measure 5.75" on the Left ...
- Step 010 >> ... and measure 5.75" on the Right as well.
- Step 011 >> Slice this excess off with your Utility Knife. This will be your Wall. But first you must shorten the length...
- Step 012 >> Now on the right side measure 14.5" at the Top and Bottom.
- Step 013 >> Now slice this chunk away with your Utility Knife.
- Step 014 >> You should now have your Wall #1 piece measuring 14.5" x 5.75"
- Step 015 >> Now go back to your Original BIG sheet.
- Step 016 >> Measure 14.5" at the Bottom and Top of your Styrofoam.
- Step 017 >> Use your utility knife to slice down the guide marks.
- Step 018 >> Now measure 8" on the left side starting from the Bottom of your Styrofoam
- Step 019 >> Do the same for your right side.
- Step 020 >> Slice down the guides with your Utility Knife. This will give you TWO pieces. ONE of which will be your other wall #2
