- STEP 141 > You can see that the other end wall fits perfectly in between the front and rear walls as comes flush with the "H" Top Cap piece creating a nice flat surface for your decal.
- STEP 142 > The "H" assembly is too complex to attach it all in one sitting so you need to place a small line of Hot Glue ONLY on ONE END of your "H" rectangle.
- STEP 143 > Insert it between the "A" and "B" wall and push it towards the end wall.
- STEP 144 > As you press it is likely that some of the hot glue will start to pop out of the gap as you squeeze it tighter and tighter.
- STEP 145 > You don't want to burn your fingers, so take a scrap of foamcore and use it to scrape off the excess glue by laying it flat against the ceiling and end wall edge in the direction of the red arrow.
- STEP 146 > After you scrape off the super hot bubbles, the hot glue is still warm but not boiling hot, you can use your fingers now to press down and try and make the connection as FLUSH as possible.
- STEP 147 > After a minute or two and that the glue has really cooled down, you can lift up the top cap from the other end to expose the cap's edges.
- STEP 148 > Place a line of hot glue along the spine edge of the end cap "H" piece.
- STEP 149 > And another small line of hot glue on the other side's spine edge.
- STEP 150 > Gently pull the "A" and "B" wall corners outwards ( red arrow ) to allow you to push the "H" end down ( yellow arrow ) in between the 2 walls.
- STEP 151 > Gently bring your wall corners back to connect with the top cap "H" piece ( red arrow ) and keep pressing down the "H" piece to align as flush as you can ( yellow arrow ).
- STEP 152 > Take another scrap piece of foamcore to remove any of the super hot boiling glue squeezing through the cracks.
- STEP 153 > Once cooled, the excess glue can be scraped off with your nail to give you a cleaner flat surface.
- STEP 154 > Before your hot glue cools down completely, make sure that all your edges are as FLAT and FLUSH as possible to give you the best surface for your decal.
- STEP 155 > One last piece to go, start by placing a line of hot glue ONLY on the OTHER END EDGE of your "H" top cap piece.
- STEP 156 > Take your end piece and place it between your 2 walls and press it down until you connect with the top cap's edge. Make sure your connection is FLUSH.
- STEP 157 > For the bottom you will want to make sure your corners are aligned properly.
- STEP 158 > You will do this by keeping pressure on the "A" and "B" walls at the same time as you push in your end piece's bottom.
- STEP 159 > If you push too hard, the end will move too far inside ( red arrow ) you want it to stop exactly at the edge ( yellow arrow ).
- STEP 160 > With your corners aligned in place and giving you perfect 90 degree corners, you will then be placing your hot glue gun deep inside your archway column and squeeze out a ton of hot glue ( blue squiggles ) that will fall into the corner gap bonding the 2 pieces together.
