- STEP 221 > Peel back your decal sheet.
- STEP 222 > Again gently align it with one of the edges and let it sofly lay flat. Wiggle it around if you must until it is placed perfectly.
- STEP 223 > Now press hard with your finger starting at the centre and move out, centre out, centre out...
- STEP 224 > You nail technique follows to slightly curve the decal edges over the bend of the foamcore.
- STEP 225 > Repeat this on all sides until you are satisfied with the decal application.
- STEP 226 > Here you can really see the difference drawing your papers edge with the black sharpie. See how the 2 decals bleed just blend perfectly. You don't see a white line that you would if you skip the Sharpie colouring steps.
- STEP 227 > Last piece for the inner arches is the neon ceiling decal. There is no real wrong side for you to apply this one. The ONLY thing to make sure of is to CENTRE your decal.
- STEP 228 > By centering it, if you do have to make fold marks for cutting, you will have equal amount to trim on both sides keeping the neon distance equal on both side walls.
- STEP 229 > Trim away if needed.
- STEP 230 > If you did trim, remember the black sharpie on the cut paper edges.
- STEP 230 > Time to place a good amount of glue stick on your foamcore ceiling piece.
- STEP 232 > Peel back the decal.
- STEP 233 > Carefully lay down the decal placing it as much in the centre as you can.
- STEP 234 > If it needs to be wiggled around a little, the glue stick allows you to do this by creating a slippery surface on your foamcore ceiling but just for 1 minute or so. When you are happy, press down, The red arrow making of guides aren't there but you know by now, from the centre to the outsides, centre out, centre out...
- STEP 235 > Use your finger nail to round off and blend the edges with the other sides.
- STEP 236 > Your ceiling decal is now perfectly set and your inner arch is complete.
- STEP 237 > Now, if you are placing a ceiling on top of your Hallway Archway you could skip the Ceiling Cap decal step.
- STEP 238 > If you are also placing it from this viewing angle inside a hallway, you may also skip the next end decals application steps.
- STEP 239 > If the ends are exposed or you just want a more finished look then continue till the very end of the making of instructions. For one of my ends I selected the NEON. This is how it will look. Always makes me smile 🙂
- STEP 240 > The one little detail you have to look for is that you want the DARK SHADOW from the emboss effect to be AT THE TOP of your decal.
