This scene was part of my first phase dioramas, where I didn’t bother with movie accuracy as long as it fit on the 14″ deep wall shelves of my basement diorama room. Having never made dioramas before (apart from model kits as a kid) this technique using simple dollar store items and beginner techniques was a great way to slowly dip my toes into the Diorama hobby ? X
The main memory I have of this scene is how hard it was to find fake tree leaves that are scale to the figures. To save money I got a plant from Walmart but as you can see it is still WAY TOO BIG. The leaves look 6 foot tall LOL. The most fun I had for this though, was doing my first ever sculpt of a prop – the Gungan Sacred head busts. I made one and then made a mold so I could do plaster copies and place them in strategic parts of the shelf to somewhat look like the film. This is for sure a scene that I need to revisit as a DELUXE movie accurate location in the near future as I still have the molds and can easily make more copies of the statue heads. X
