This scene was part of my Phase 1 design and construction : Make it fit on a shelf and display the figures similar to what they appeared in the movie, but mostly to get the figures out of the box so I can enjoy looking at them on display. X
Wire mesh skeleton is squished into the shape of mountains and covered with plaster bandages. Once dried, applied 2 layers of plaster of paris. Then used watered down latex paint to let plaster absorb paint for rock textured look. Sawdust is used on floor to create desert sand effect.
