I created the first Cinema Comparisons way back on my NIUBNIUBSUNIVERSE.COM site, when I was working on the Falcon Diorama, the results were so impressive to my friends, I just started taking them for all of my scenes, even the earlier ones that maybe not 100% movie accurate, still captured the fun and camera angles of the Star Wars movies we loved growing up. . . Foamcore base. Extra foamcore strips glued on for embossed design. Walls were then covered with latex paint. The platform was sculpted in plastiscine, then I made a silicone mold and made 8 plastic resin copies. Painted them with latex colors and 1 coat of gloss medium for a shiny look. Hot glue gunned all the platforms to the walls. the bottoms stick into the wall openings to add stability. 2 Foamcore 1/4 circles, with photoshop patterns, were glued to the bottom of each platform to look like the gears in the film. . .
I just love these FUN photos. There are a few that you will discover that when you look really quickly, you do a double take as you cannot see the difference when you look quickly 🙂 These smiles I guaranty you will get just may trigger an urge for you to build one of them in your own home using the TUTORIALSsection. 🙂 X
Did you also build this Diorama ? Would you like to show it in the site’s GALLERY VISITORS DIORAMAS section, yes ? THAT IS AWESOME !!! You can find out all the details on how to email me your photos on the VISITORS SUBMISSIONS INFO page … When I get your photos, I will create your very own page just like this one. You may not realize it but work does inspire others to join in the fun of making Action Figure Dioramas. X
