- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > a VERY YOUNG Jamie helping a first time builder apply plaster to her small house construction
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > We are moving towards the "wet" area as plastering of the houses begins.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Fans starting to get into the plastering phase of their construction. After they finished, the plaster needed to dry before they could paint it as you see some houses placed along the end of the table. Perfect bathroom break or autograph time.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Double tables pressed against each other allowed fans to work from the 2 sides.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Someone ready to start painting. So much fun as the technique I used didn't need you to be an expert painter. Just let watered down paint sip into the plaster with a sponge. Repeat... where paint falls on a zone already painted, it would create a 2nd shade of tan. more shades the more it looks dirty and like the movie set.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Managed to finish the other side of the Docking Bay. Tomorrow the gang works on the 2nd walls.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > At the end of the day I was able to take my own photos of the diorama gallery. This is the entrance doors where people would line up and first see the Jedi Council.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > I was blown away when I saw Joe Amaro's work online and was SO happy he was able and agreed to bring it to the show to have the public see it in person.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > I got him to explain to me how he got his custom figures to sit down so perfectly, and used that for my own diorama after the show.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Looking through the tantive IV hallway where Princess Leia gave the secret plans to R2.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > I was able to bring one of my plaster head copies I made...
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > ... using the mold I created from the plasticine sculpt. I love the illusion you get from the face where it looks like it's sticking outwards but actually is caved inwards.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Eric Plummer was able to bring his awesome Tantive IV Hallway - one of the very first made of this scene and way before the Hasbro half version playset.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > The Bacta Tank Medical Centre made it's world premiere at the show. Since I had not yet taken pictures of it for the site, Celebration II fans got to see it first. Looks pretty darn cool if I do say so myself 🙂 And judging by your reactions, I have a feeling some drugstores ran out of hair gel that weekend - LOL
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Be
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Luke I am your father.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > No that can't be true 🙂
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > Simple first version of my Carbon Freezing diorama.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > One day we have to revisit this and deluxify it for more movie accuracy.
- CONSTRUCTION DAY ONE - MAY 03 > When you look towards the exit doors, these are the dioramas you see.
