- Huge line up outside the convention center. If there is one advantage to organizing a Diorama Builders workshop is to not have to wait these long lines to get in 🙂
- Day 2 started to create overflow in the completed Death Star Rooms. It was a little confusing figuring out where everything should end up stacked next to each other.
- A peak behind the scenes 🙂 Looking at the backsides of the Dioramas that were being stacked on the exhibit tables.
- Fans starting to see how the construction and assembly are progressing. It's amazing what you can do as a group in just a couple of days.
- Here I am setting up Palpatine's Arrival Diorama. Just one false move ... who likes to play dominoes 😛
- Movie or Diorama? 🙂
- When we moved the giant mirror from Legends Action Figures to the van, a corner of the mirror touched the store floor, cracked and fell off 🙁 To say I was not happy would be an understatement at that time. But accidents do happen. Here is me peeking at the fans through that crack as they line up to take pictures of the Diorama 🙂
- The Emperor's Arrival Diorama. Pictures truly don't do this scene justice.
- I just love seeing kids react to dioramas. When you have figures at home that's cool but when you place them inside a movie set diorama, they really come to life in a whole other level.
- Not just the small kids enjoyed looking at the Emperor's Arrival diorama 😛
- Of course no Workshop is complete without some Dioramas on Exhibit. In the corners of the Death Star Panels, were several of my Dioramas. Displayed for the first time in public along side some of my Visitor Dioramas as well.
- It's great to share our 15 minutes of fame with other talented Diorama Makers. Here you see my Palpatine's Office on top. Center is my Naboo Hangar from Episode I. Below is the most awesome Outlander Club Diorama created by Dan Eversdyk
- End of the day, people start to trickle out from the huge life size blast doors of our Death Star diorama builders workshop booth.
