- The VERY FIRST EVER Diorama Builders giveaway was this NiubNiub keychain (for those who may not know - NiubNiubsUniverse was my very first diorama website that eventually morphed, or upgraded I prefer to say - to today's DioramaWorkshop.Com) If I recall you had to find me and say NIUB NIUB for me to give you one.
- Celebration III also had me design these cool little lapel buttons. They were about 1" wide and introduced me to how convention fans LOVE to chase and exchange pins and buttons 🙂
- The 1rst of 2 Bumper Stickers that we gave to every builder was my site's tag line which was also used in the back of the Booths T-Shirts
- 2nd Bumper Sticker was the logo for this years Death Star theme. One of these were handed out to every builder during the show. I should have kept 1 for myself 😛
- The other thing I thought would be fun to giveaway was our first ever sets of COLLECTOR POSTCARDS. Showing crisp Hi Res images of my dioramas voted, chosen by the fans before the show. The plan was to give ONE card per day. If some were left, they would spill into the next days until the cards were gone. #1 was LEIA'S SECRET PLANS.
- The back of the cards showed the sponsor who helped cover the costs of the print. 500 cards were made for each day.
- Postcard #2 was Friday's giveaway. THE JEDI COUNCIL. You had to come back to the workshop every day if you wanted the entire set.
- The back of card #2 was sponsored by Action HQ.
- Saturday gave you my SARLACC PIT for postcard #3. You didn't have to build to get these cards, you could just swing by and say hello and pick them up from the entrance tables.
- Federation Toys was featured on the back of card #3.
- Last but not least, the BOUNTY HUNTERS postcard #4. One of my REALLY EARLY dioramas, look at the decals, I didn't even own a color printer at the time 😛
- Legends Action Figures, R.I.P. was the coolest store in Montreal, and where I displayed some of my dioramas for couple of years before bringing them with me to the convention's ART EXHIBIT.
- Postcard #5 was a bonus card, that I printed AFTER the convention, since I needed the completed diorama build first 😛 Builders would send me an envelope with a stamp and I would ship them back the last card of the set.
- Legends also helped cover the costs of this last card. Did you get your complete set ? These cards were so popular, I would do similar card swag in upcoming celebrations.
- To round things up, was the Official Diorama Builders T-Shirts. This is what was on the front. The T's were black. This was also the last year that I made these at home with iron on decals.
