Hey everybody, as most of you know, there is a little PARTY going on again this August in Orlando, Oh yeah !!! I’m talking about Celebration VI 🙂 And if any of you have attended any of these awesome Star Wars conventions, you may have seen kids – and adults – building these GIANT dioramas over at the Diorama Workshop. Well guess what ??? we will be there again this year ;p Lucasfilm is keeping details secret for a couple more weeks, however… I can tell you that our 2012 theme is TATOOINE and that it will be the most AWESOME of Diorama Workshops EVER.

Once Lucasfilm do the official “workshop press release” – I will be able to open the floodgates to SPECIFIC SECRETS. Before the end of June, I promise ALL will be revealed. I am such a tease I know 🙂 Wait till you see the pictures of the prototypes we have been designing for you guys to build these past 5 months.

What I CAN talk to you about today – which I am most excited about is… The launch of our Celebration VI Diorama Workshop Action Figure Fund. Can you believe 10 years working alongside Lucasfilm? … the staff and I could not be more thrilled to come back for another diorama adventure.

So just how does one celebrate the 10th year of Diorama Builders Workshops? I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to revisit what started it all back in 2002… that’s right – RETURN TO TATOOINE. But we aren’t just building Mos Eisley this time but, are you sitting down ?… the ENTIRE PLANET from BOTH the Original and Prequel trilogies. And in a way that is just BRILLIANT – but I have to keep that secret till the Lucasfilm Diorama Workshop official announcement.

We also have our BIGGEST EVER diorama display area – over 400 feet of Tables will be covered in sand and display space the kids creations.
.
In ALL past Celebrations, Fans have always been so generous and donated their unwanted or duplicate figures to us to use at the Diorama Workshop through the CIII – CIV and CV Figure funds. Hasbro would then come on top and donate tons of toys from their warehouses to fill in the remaining gap so that ALL KIDS had at least ONE toy to go home with alongside their creation on the closing Sunday.

This year, even with Hasbro’s generosity, we fear that because of it’s MASSIVE SCALE – MORE THEN 400 feet – the 400-500 figures we usually accumulate, will barely cover HALF of the Mos Eisley/Mos Espa cities, not to mention other areas of the planet. As you know a diorama without any figures, as cool as the construction is, ONLY comes to LIFE with Hasbro TOYS. My loyal staff and I have gotten the ball rolling with 240 figures, beasts and ships (purchased on ebay and from our own collections) but… MORE THEN EVER – WE NEED YOUR HELP to make this happen !!!

For this years Celebration VI Diorama Workshop Action Figure fund, I have set up 3 EASY WAYS for fans to participate and help us out.

1) SEND US YOUR TOYS BY MAIL : If you have figures hidden under your bed, or that your kids have outgrown and don’t play with (gasp LOL) or that you bought in duplicate and wish to donate those, you can send them by mail to our Orlando Storage space. We will pick these up on the Wednesday set up day and bring them to the convention center to place in the Tatooine Diorama. You can send your action figure fund donations to: CVI DIORAMA WORKSHOP FUND – (address omited since the convention is past and the fund is closed, this page is for archive only) – MAKE SURE TO MAIL IT BEFORE AUGUST 19, 2012 – you don’t want the toys to arrive AFTER the convention has ended.

2) SEND A DONATION USING YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT : I have set up a Celebration VI Diorama Workshop account specifically for the Action Figure Fund. You can LOG IN to PayPal.com and click SEND MONEY enter in the TO box : (ACCOUNT CLOSED SINCE FUND IS CLOSED). Please note: EVERY PENNY YOU SEND will go to buy figures on EBAY and used in the workshop display and ALL BOUGHT TOYS will be GIVEN to the KIDS on closing Sunday. NO DONATIONS will be kept for our own personal use.

3) BRING US YOUR TOYS IN PERSON : Are you coming to Celebration VI in August ? Then why not save on shipping and just bring us your toy donations in hand at the Diorama Workshop booth. The Staff and I will be MORE then HAPPY to thank you in person and give you our little EXCLUSIVE CVI figure fund donation present. This SPECIAL gift package will be handed out ONLY to FANS who have DONATED TO THE FUND. If you donate and NOT coming to the show, make sure to write your name and address on a card and include it IN your SHIPPING BOX (when sent by mail) or in the COMMENTS box (if sending by Pay Pal)
