This scene was part of my Phase 3 Dioramas, this scene was designed to look as close to the movie set as possible but still using dollar store materials (which I still do today) no matter how big and if it fit on my main diorama shelf LOL.

The main memory I have of this scene is how much fun it was to design, you just cannot beat the Death Star design wise, and perfect for decal applications. It is what really brings it to life. This diorama was designed before I decided to use the Death Star as a theme for Celebration III’s Diorama Builders and was originally displayed in public for the first time at Legends toy store in my home town of Montreal. It stayed in the window for 2 years until I was able to fit it in the mini van and drive it to Indianapolis for its first and ONLY USA public display. Since I designed the Celebration Death Star around this build, it fit right in with what the fans were making even if it was part of Return of the jedi and not Episode IV. Today 2018, it is no longer with us, a basement flood in 2008 claimed it’s magnificence 🙁 It will rise again one day when I rebuild it for my new home and film it to share a video making of for you to build at home.
