STAR WARS : EPISODE II - TUSKEN RAIDERS CAMP DIORAMA
DioramaWorkshop.com presents a Frank Diorio STEP BY STEP instruction guide from February 2013
As seen at STAR WARS CELEBRATION VI : RETURN TO TATOOINE DIORAMA WORKSHOP ORLANDO - AUGUST 23-26 2012

One of the most popular builds voted by the kids at our Celebration VI Workshop was the Sand People Huts. So simple in design and execution, the use of Plaster Bandages and Paint was a perfect mix of getting dirty that the kids loved and really felt they were doing true arts & crafts.

You can find all the materials needed very easily and when you make 3-4-5 huts you get a sweet Tusken Raiders Camp ready for your Hasbro Action Figures to be displayed in all their glory.

Do you want to make this diorama for your own home display ?
WORKSHOP MENUS* give you everything that you need

Simply select the available active workshop links from the MENU BAR to view all Step by Step Diorama Making Of instruction guides, YouTube VideoDiorama Tutorials, Materials List of what you need to purchase, my free download Blueprints, free download Decals I created and References photos that helped me design the scene. In no time, you will display your figures in your own home just like in my photos.

*BLACK text in the Workshop Menu means an active section - If the links are GREY, they are NOT ACTIVATED, either I haven't yet uploaded them yet - OR - the diorama was created BEFORE I was smart enough to take Making Of photos, keep the blueprints etc. Check the NEWS POSTS to see when NEW sections get unlocked or just email me and bug me about it ... frank@dioramaworkshop.com

Take a scrap of cardboard and cut out a rectangle shape. You will need to have it long enough to poke your guide holes (black dots) in this case minimum 6 inches)

Start by making a dot near the end of your rectangle.

Then make a dot at 4.75 inches.

Now grab a piece of cardboard or foamcore that is a MINIMUM 10 Inches wide as well as TALL.

Place a mark on your cardboard at 5 inches.

Take a pen and poke a hole on your rectangle scrap 4.75 inch dot.

Take a push pin and poke it through the first dot of your scrap rectangle cardboard piece.

Now carefully align the tip of the push pin and the 5 inch dot you just drew on your cardboard or foamcore sheet.

Press your pin all the way into the cardboard and then spin the "ruler" guide's PEN HOLE to one side of the cardboard base. If your base is larger then my 10 inches, you will have excess past where my finger is, that is ok.

AS LONG AS your cardboard base is LONGER then the PEN DOT you are good to go.

So we are ready to start our Tusken Hut Guide. Place a PEN into the PEN HOLE (4.75" from the PUSH PIN hole)

Pressing lightly - you don't want the pen to go THROUGH the base, but strong enough to see the line, carefully ROTATE YOUR GUIDE "ruler" clockwise while keeping your finger on the push pin so that it doesn't pop OUT of it's hole while spinning.

Continue spinning all the way around until you have drawn a complete circle with your pen.

Now it's time to make a clock :) If you know how to tell time this should be easy :p

Start by placing a line at the TOP of your circle and draw a 12.

Now directly below draw another line and write the number 6.
